A law student named Suhel Ali who called the Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka “Monkey.” and a black piece of…” has avoided a jail term.

This came after Ali claimed he intended not to be a racist. The 20-year-old Arsenal fan responded to the Arsenal 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in May 2023.

Arsenal’s defeat to Nottingham Forest ended the club’s chance of winning the Premier League for the first time since the 2003-04 season.

He took to his social media account to post an audio message where he called the English star N-Word.

The university student who is of Nigerian heritage, like Bukayo Saka, admitted he sent the message via his social media account. Ali received a 12-month conditional discharge coupled with a fine of £111.

The magistrate chairman in charge of the case, Kieran’O’Donnell, said, “Your lawyer said your intention was not to be racist, but whoever heard it would have heard racial abuse. But you are of previous good character. You have no previous convictions. You are remorseful.”

Bukayo Saka and the Racial Abuses He Has Suffered So Far in His Career

In November 2021, a man named Jonathan Best was streamed live by himself racially abusing Bukayo Saka and Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford.

Inclusively, the man abused Jadon Sancho. This came after the three football stars missed penalties in the Euro 2020 final against Italy.

Best was sentenced to 10 weeks imprisonment after he posted the rant about the three players.

Ali’s racial abuse remains one of the numerous abuses he has suffered on social media.

After the England match against Italy in the Euro 2020, the Arsenal star released a statement saying, “I knew instantly the kind of hate that I was about to receive, and that is a sad reality that your powerful platforms are not doing enough to stop these messages.”

All social media platforms are finding every possible means to bring an end to the racial abuses committed by football fans all over the world.

Bukayo Saka Performance in All Competitions This Season

The Arsenal winger has been impressive since the start of the season.

He has scored three goals and created seven assists in all club competitions.

He remains Arsenal’s most important attack in all competitions this season.

His ability to cross the ball, shoot from any side of the field, and create simple chances for his teammates makes him one of the best football players in Europe.

Saka has been assessed by the Arsenal doctors after he suffered an injury in England’s previous match.

However, the extent of the injury has not been confirmed by the club doctors.

The Arsenal fans are very concerned about the injury of the superstar.

The club are already battling with the fitness of their captain, Martin Odegaard. The return date of the Norwegian star is currently unknown.

After the international break, the Arsenal team will play against Bournemouth on October 19, 2024, in the Premier League.
