Kylian Mbappe organized a bash on Monday, May 20, 2024, to mark his farewell from Paris Saint-Germain, amid persistent reports of an impending move to Real Madrid.
During the party, the footballer’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, hinted that he would be joining Los Blancos in the summer of 2024.
Reports indicate that 250 guests attended the party at Gigi, a high-end Italian restaurant near Paris’ Champs Élysées.

As Fayza was exiting the venue, she was asked about the club where her son will be plying his trade next season.
Kylian Mbappe’s mother gave a brief and puzzling reply, saying: “You all know it already.”
Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid, having confirmed on May 10, 2024, that he will depart the Parc Des Princes when his contract expires in the summer of 2024.
Some reports claim that he will complete the move to the Santiago Bernabeu after the UEFA Champions League final on June 1, 2024, where Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund at Wembley, England.
Mbappe and Los Blancos Olympics Saga
Kylian Mbappe is still focused on representing France at the Paris 2024 Olympics, although Los Blancos maintain their stance that their players must choose between playing in the 2024 European Championship or at the Olympics.
Moreover, also in attendance at the farewell party were his father, Wilfried, and his younger brother, Ethan.
Most of his teammates at Paris Saint Germain alongside the staff of the club, his friends, and extended family were also present.
PSG boss Luis Enrique didn’t attend the bash, with the pair apparently not on good terms.
Enrique dropped Mbappé for the last two league matches of the campaign, and it is also uncertain if the attacker will play in the French Cup final against Lyon on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
Meanwhile, the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the president of Paris Saint Germain, Nasser Al Khelaifi, were also invited but they did not attend the party.
The departure of Kylian Mbappe wasn’t welcomed heartily by PSG despite the Frenchman’s contribution to the club.
Over the years, several stakeholders have had to plead with Mbappe for him to remain at Paris Saint Germain, however, he looks like his mind is fixated on football elsewhere.
