With his contract at Paris Saint-Germain set to expire at the end of the season, the French striker is set for a free transfer.

Mbappe has been heavily associated with Real Madrid, who made a number of late-summer attempts to recruit him.

And, as things stand, Los Blancos are free to make an offer, but nothing is likely to be finalized until after Real Madrid’s Champions League matches against PSG this month and next.

Until recently, it has been touted as a near-done deal, with Mbappe reportedly eager to join the team he grew up supporting.

That may be true, but the Frenchman insists that he hasn’t made up his mind yet.

“If I have made a decision over my future? No,” he told Amazon Prime Video.

“Playing against Real Madrid changes a lot of things. Although I have to freedom to do what I want in this moment, I am not going to speak with a rival or do that type of thing.“

“I am concentrated on winning against Real Madrid. And then we will see what happens.”

After the Champions League Round of 16 tie is resolved, Real Madrid is likely to approach Mbappe in an attempt to work out a pre-contract arrangement.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were said to have agreed to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer, according to reports. Mbappe’s PSG contract expires in July, and Real has been interested in signing him for some time.

Real Madrid failed in two attempts to get Mbappe last summer, but it appears that they will have their man by the conclusion of the season.

The club’s president, Florentino Perez, is eager to sign the France international, but PSG turned down offers of £137 million (€160 million) and £145.5 million (€170 million) in August.

This season, PSG has endeavored to persuade Mbappe to sign a new deal with the club. They don’t appear to have succeeded.

While PSG already has Lionel Messi and Neymar up front, Mbappe’s departure will be a major blow to the club, which has been desperate to retain the club’s star-studded front three together.
