Rooney has leveled numerous criticisms at PSG star Kylian Mbappe after disrespecting Lionel Messi against Montpellier. Rooney reacted furiously to Mbappe about his ego.
He said, “I have never seen a 23-year-old throw a shoulder at Messi and someone should tell Mbappe that Messi won four Ballon d’Or at the age of 22.”
Questions have been raised about whether there is a feud involving Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi after their clash on Saturday, August 13, in a French Ligue 1 match against Montpellier which ended 5-2 in favor of PSG.
During the match, PSG got a penalty, and Mbappe was allowed to take it. Unfortunately, he missed it.
Afterward, PSG got a second spot-kick, and Mbappe contended for it but was ignored by Neymar, who went on to score the spot-kick.
He was also seen pushing Messi after the Argentine failed to pass the ball to him. however, Messi remained humble. It was reported that just like Neymar, Messi believes that Mbappe has special treatment at the club.
Even though Messi has not scored a lot of goals this season, he remains an important player to PSG’s squad, especially in terms of providing assists and drawing opposing defenders to himself.
In addition, during PSG’s last league game, Kylian Mbappe decided to stop running when his team was on a counter-attack after his teammates failed to pass the ball to him.

Messi was unimpressed with Mbappe’s recent behavior. It is understood that Mbappe is not happy that Messi and Neymar have developed a close bond, which makes him less influential in the dressing room.

Amidst that, the PSG manager, Christophe Galtier has defended Mbappe’s action stating that it is a bit normal for Mbappe to be disappointed. Marco Verratti, Mbappe’s teammate at PSG, defended him saying it is normal for the Frenchman to be angry and that shows he cares about his team.
According to different reports, Mbappe wants Neymar sold this summer. Neymar liked a tweet that criticized PSG’s decision to make Mbappe the team’s main penalty taker.
Despite all the disputes, PSG started its Ligue 1 campaign nicely, scoring 10 goals and winning two matches out of two, but it was the players’ behavior that grabbed the headlines.
