Kylian Mbappe watched as Gareth Bale’s new team, Los Angeles FC (LAFC), extended their lead in the top level in the United States.
On Sunday, Los Angeles FC became the first MLS side to reach ten victories for the year, extending their advantage at the top of the Western Conference.
The two standout players on the field, Cristian Arango and Diego Palacios, scored goals in the second half to defeat the New York Red Bulls 2-0.
As the camera panned its direction to the PSG talisman, Mbappe waved and then gave a thumbs up.

This season, Mbappe won’t be the only prominent foreign athlete to be observed at a LAFC home game.
Recently, LAFC was able to sign two top European players on free transfers.
Giorgio Chiellini, a 117-time Italy international, is moving from Juventus, and five-time Champions League champion Gareth Bale is joining from Real Madrid.
After the MLS transfer window begins on July 7, Bale and Chiellini will be qualified to participate.
On July 9, LAFC will face LA Galaxy, a local rival.
Gareth Bale agrees to join LAFC
After joining the Spanish giants for a then-world-record sum of £85 million, Bale, 32, spent nine seasons there. However, his tenure in Spain came to an end due to fan annoyance over his frequent injuries.
This summer, his Los Blancos contract expired and had to leave as a free agent.
The 106-cap international had many teams bidding for his services, including Championship side Cardiff, as he was eager to play regularly before Wales’ World Cup campaign in November.
However, the former Tottenham and Southampton player chose to sign a one-year deal with LAFC on the west coast.
Bale is not the only well-known star that LA has purchased this summer. Giorgio Chiellini, a former center-back for Italy and Juventus, has also agreed to join the team and is leaving Europe for the west coast of the United States.
And Mbappe, who supposedly became the highest-paid player in the world after signing a hefty new contract with PSG this summer, observed at the Banc as LAFC defeated them 2-0 thanks to two goals from Cristian Arango and Diego Palacios in the span of four minutes.
With a game left to play, the outcome puts them four points ahead of Real Salt Lake in second place on the Western Conference table.
During his summer vacation in the United States, Mbappe made several high-profile appearances, including one at the Banc of California Stadium.
The international player from France was prominently featured at the NBA draft last week, showing up in New York at the ceremony and on the red carpet.
