Kylian Mbappe will remain at PSG after the January transfer window despite the player being unhappy with the happenings at the club.
The French Star has “zero chance” of leaving Paris Saint-Germain in January, according to the club, who also refuted claims that they set up phony social media accounts to harass the striker.
According to the French online daily Mediapart, PSG utilized a communication firm to set up phony social media identities to criticize players, including Mbappe.
In response to the allegations, the club stated: “Paris Saint-Germain completely and totally denies the claims of Mediapart.”
“As a global brand, PSG often collaborates with local and international social media firms to highlight and promote the Club, its employees, and its partners’ outstanding achievements.
“The club has never contracted with an agency to undermine any person or institution.”
A senior club source continued: “Do you really think we hired an agency to attack our own players? Above all Kylian Mbappe?”
“We have spent the entirety of his career charming him and encouraging him to stay, including most recently getting President Macron involved. But at the same time we have been trolling him? It’s a joke.”
“If there was an agency that was doing things of its own accord, then that’s for them to answer and we will investigate – but absolutely nothing has been done at the direction of the club.”
Mbappe was reportedly headed to a bullfight in Madrid today, according to reports in Spanish media on Tuesday. However, Mbappe’s social media accounts indicate that he will attend a charity event in Nimes this afternoon.
According to PSG sources, the rumors surrounding Mbappe originate in Spain and are meant to undermine PSG. They call the reports “total garbage” and “absolute nonsense.”
While Mbappe’s relationship with Neymar is not great and he is dissatisfied with the club’s transfer policy, he is unhappy that he is playing through the middle.
Why Does Kylian Mbappe wants to leave PSG?
Although Paris Saint-Germain has no plans to transfer Kylian Mbappé after he signed a new three-year contract in May, the attacker is dissatisfied there and wants to depart in January.
Mbappé is disgruntled that he has been required to play practically every game this season as a No 9 rather than in his favoured position off the left after being unimpressed with PSG’s performance in the summer transfer market.
The relationship between the player and the club is difficult, but PSG believes the 23-year-old has made his displeasure known in an effort to put pressure on them. They plan to reject any bids for the player.
Mbappé shocked the Spanish club by pledging his future to the team he joined after leaving Monaco in 2017. Real Madrid had anticipated that Mbappé would leave PSG for Real Madrid last summer.
Mbappé has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances for PSG this season, who are now topping Ligue 1 under Christophe Galtier with eight victories and two draws from ten games.
What clubs are willing to sign Mbappe if he leaves PSG?
According to rumours, Kylian Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window, casting doubt on the Frenchman’s future at the Parc des Princes.
Mbappe is thought to have wanted to leave PSG in January because, according to reports, the player and the club’s relationship has entirely crumbled.
We examine five teams that could sign the French superstar as the transfer window is about to open in a few months.
Real Madrid
Real Madrid is of course the obvious pick, since the Spanish giants have been connected to him since his days with Monaco.
But after what transpired in the summer, Mbappe’s last-minute decision to reject a move to the Spanish capital left Madrid devastated and enraged.
Liverpool
Mbappe already addressed rumors connecting him to Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, stating that his mother is a Liverpool supporter.
If one of football’s best names were to play in English football, it would be a massive signing for Liverpool and the Premier League as a whole.
Bayern Munich
Bayern are the undeniable reigning champions of Germany, and they will always be a major draw for star players searching for a new club.
The German powerhouses have won ten straight Bundesliga championships, but Robert Lewandowski left for Barcelona in the summer, and new addition Sadio Mane hasn’t quite lived up to expectations.
Mbappe might be the one to get Bayern off to a strong start this year and give the Germans a great chance to win the Champions League.
Manchester United
Despite its recent troubles, United is still one of the top clubs in the world, therefore the Old Trafford club will always be on the lookout for the best players in football.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Anthony Martial, among others, have been significantly underwhelming in recent seasons, which may have tempted United to try to entice Mbappe to Manchester.
Chelsea
When it comes to paying large, Chelsea is not afraid, and Todd Boehly may find it difficult to pass up the opportunity to sign Mbappe.
The attacking talent in Graham Potter’s team right now includes players like Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling, and Kai Havertz.
Mbappe’s price shouldn’t be an issue either because Chelsea is consistently one of the biggest spenders in football.
Will Mbappe depart PSG in January? Only time will tell.
