Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe is set to undergo medical tests within the next 24 hours after experiencing thigh discomfort during Tuesday’s match.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe suffered a knock to his thigh and requested substitution as a precautionary measure.
While initial assessments suggest it’s a minor issue, the club wants to confirm the extent of the injury.
Meanwhile, Coach Carlo Ancelotti downplayed concerns of injury scare: “He’s okay. He’s a little sore. He asked for the substitution to avoid problems.”
“He is already very well and so are we. The team has looked for many chances to score and I think the team is improving and that is good for us because the schedule is very demanding. We have started well after the break and we want to continue.”
However, the French forward will undergo evaluations within 24 hours to determine the severity of the injury.
