Kylian Mbappe has hinted that he can only leave Paris Saint Germain if his parents, Wilfred Mbappé (father), and Fayza Mbappé (mother), permits him to do so.

The 21-year-old French left-winger is reportedly wanted at Premier League club Liverpool and Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid. He is currently the most sought after youngster and the most expensive player in the world. His current transfer value is €180 million.

Despite this huge transfer fee that Kylian Mbappe could attract, PSG are not planning to allow the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to exit the club anytime soon. However, when Kylian Mbappe was speaking to COPA90 and EA SPORTS for a documentary that talked about his growing up, the French football star gave his parents the power to choose his next move.

He noted that he became what he is today because of the support of his family and because he and his parents always “make every decision together, as a family. I think it’s the strongest possible thing.”

“This has pushed me higher and allowed me to be where I am today”, Kylian Mbappe said.

“Without them, it would be impossible, because sometimes you have bad moments. When you have bad moments in your career, you can see which people are there for you, and my parents are there for me every time.

“Without them, I don’t think I would have everything I do at the moment. They show me the right way to be and I’m really lucky to have these parents.”

With this revelation, PSG’s president Nasser al-Khelaifi would not only concentrate on convincing Mbappe but he would invest more effort in convincing his parents to make him stay at the club a bit longer.

Mbappe’s current contract with the French club will expire in 2022 and the club’s president recently revealed that the club has begun talks with Mbappe and his strike partner Neymar and he claimed that both players are willing to stay at the club.

“We have begun to talk with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe”, al-Khelaifi said. “The discussions will remain confidential but I am very confident. They both want to stay with us at PSG.”

Since Kylian Mbappe first joined PSG on loan from AS Monaco on August 31, 2017, and subsequently joined the club permanently on July 1, 2018, for a transfer fee worth €145 million, the French left-winger has scored 102 goals and provided 59 assists in 138 games.

So far this season, Mbappe has scored 10 goals in 9 league games and has provided 5 assists. He has scored a total of 12 goals and provided 8 assists in all competitions this season.
