Manchester City ace, Kevin De Bruyne, will miss the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

The Belgian playmaker was forced out of Manchester City’s 2022 Champions League final clash against Inter Milan a few minutes into the first half.

According to Daily Star, Kevin De Bruyne will not feature for Manchester City in the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season following the injury.

The report adds a Kevin de Bruyne’s medical report revealed the Belgian suffered a Grade Three hamstring tear which will rule him out of the opening games for next season.

Kevin de Bruyne is also set to miss Manchester City’s Community Shield clash against Arsenal before the opening Premier League game against Burnley.

Details of De Bruyne’s medical condition reveals De Bruyne will not go under the knife for a surgical operation on the harmstring tear as the injury does not require a surgical operation.

He is set to undergo rehabilitation and have been asked to rest well before next season to ensure a speedy recovery.

After the Community Shield clash against Arsenal and the Premier League opener against Burnley, De Bruyne is expected to be back to the squad and possibly make an appearance for the club in UEFA Super Cup clash against Sevilla on August 16.

De Bruyne was the pillar of the Manchester City juggernaut that smashed both Premier League and European clubs to win a historic treble in 2022/23 season.
