Andrea Martinez is a Spanish beauty queen and former basketball player. The year 2020 seems to be one of her best years ever as he was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2020 and also started dating Kepa Arrizabalaga the same year.

The former Miss Universe Spain Andrea Martinez and Spanish footballer Kepa Arrizabalaga made their romance public on Instagram in 2020. The couple posted the image on their Instagram pages which they captioned “About us.”

They got congratulatory comments from both friends and fans. Manchester United’s goalkeeper David De Gea commented with a red heart emoji. His Chelsea teammate Kai Havertz wrote: “Oh Kepinho,” along with a heart-eyes emoji, to which Jorginho replied: “Kepinhaaa Papi.”

Marcos Alonso also commented with heart-eye emojis, while Tottenham and Spain player Sergio Reguilon commented with a shocked face emoji.

Note that the Spanish beauty queen represented Spain at the Miss Universe 2020 but didn’t win the crown.

Kepa Arrizabalaga started his career as a goalkeeper at Athletic Bilbao in Spain. But before then, he had played for Basconia and joined Ponferradina and Real Valladolid on successive loans between 2011 to 2016. He later went back to Bilbao and started playing regularly for the first team.

In 2018, he moved to Chelsea for a transfer fee of £72 million (€80 million), setting a record as the most expensive goalkeeper. However, the record was broken when Liverpool signed their current goalkeeper Allison.

Kepa was a replacement for Thibaut Courtois who joined Real Madrid after an outstanding spell at Chelsea. The Spanish made his Premier League debut three days later in a game against Huddersfield Town.

Since joining Chelsea in 2018, Kepa has won the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup mostly from the bench.

Kepa’s days of struggles with Chelsea started when Frank Lampard took over as the club’s manager. The second most expensive goalkeeper in the world struggled to maintain his form throughout the 2019-2020 season.

Frank Lampard eventually benched him in favor of Caballero in a cup game against Hull City in January 2020. Afterward, his poor performance made Chelsea sign Edouard Mendy who is now the number one choice for the team.

Things have gotten so bad for Kepa that the Spanish goalkeeper made only 4 appearances in the 2021/22 English Premier League season.
