A Chelsea fan has claimed that Chelsea keeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga was criticizing Willy Caballero for his role in the first-half horror show at West Brom.

Chelsea made a comeback to rescued a point in the six-goal thriller at The Hawthorns.

Arrizabalaga, who was relegated to the bench over questionable performances between the sticks for the Argentine was spotted talking to Jorginho after West Brom took the lead.

Viewers also suggested the Spaniard’s discussion with Jorginho at that point was criticism of Caballero. The goalie was slow to get down to Callum Robinson’s fourth-minute opener.

Chelsea moved to sign Edouard Mendy as a potential replacement for the Spaniard, who was dropped to the bench over two critical errors during Premier League games against Brighton and Liverpool.

It was gathered that the Frenchman was not ready in time to face the Baggies yet, making Lampard opt for Caballero ahead of Kepa.

Kepa appeared to criticise Willy Caballero after his attempted save against West Brom

Robinson gave the Baggies the lead when his shot flew through the legs of Reece James and towards the bottom right corner, but Caballero was unable to get down quickly enough to make a save and prevent Chelsea from going behind.

A fan tweeted: ‘I love Kepa analyzing the goal in the stands… hilarious #irony’.

Another sarcastically suggested that Kepa may decide to put himself on as a substitute. He was reacting to the Spaniard’s refusal to leave the field during Chelsea’s League Cup final defeat by Manchester City in 2019.

Robinson later doubled Albion’s lead on 25 minutes when he stole the ball from Blues debutant Thiago Silva. He finished it with his right foot.

The Baggies went three goals up when Kyle Bartley tapped in from a corner.

    Mount started Chelsea comeback

Fortunately, Chelsea were able to mount a fine comeback in the second half.

Mason Mount began the comeback for the Blues 10 minutes after the interval when he rifled in from 20 yeards.

Substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi reduced the deficit to one goal before Tammy Abraham bundled over the line in stoppage time.
