Real Madrid’s talisman Karim Benzema looks to be in blightful mood as the Frenchman picked up a knock is the Los Blancos victory over Valencia.

Karim Benzema limped his way out of the pitch in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win on Thursday evening with just under three weeks before their crucial UEFA Champions League title against Liverpool

Tempers certainly would be flaring as fans of Real Madrid looks to be in a fretting mood due to the injury picked up by Karim Benzema.

The Frenchman didn’t have the best start to the season but just as things look to be ticking for the man, the plight of injuries has come knocking on his door again.

However, Real Madrid’s gaffer, Carlo Ancelotti has played down the injury stating it is very light and he should be available for the next game.

Don Carlo Ancelotti was also asked to give heads up information on the fitness levels of Benzema and Eder Militao who also picked up an injury in the game against Valencia.

The Italian gaffer made it known that: “Benzema is something very light, but Militao is not going to recover for Sunday.”

And with just a few days away from the battle against the Reds, Real Madrid must be well oiled and also be in full gear against an unpredictable Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid will battle with Real Mallorca in their next encounter in the Spanish La Liga and all hands must be on deck for the defending champions to give Barcelona a run for their money.

They also battle in the FIFA Club World Cup in the coming days as their tournament would begin from the Semifinals in customary fashion for winners from Europe.

The game against Liverpool is set to go down on the 21st of February with the return leg to be played on the 15th of March.

Liverpool would be relishing an opportunity to play Real Madrid on the knowledge of Karim Benzema’s possible absence from the game.

Although, Real Madrid understand the tricks and intricacies of the UEFA Champions League, missing key players wouldn’t be in their minds at this point as they would want to battle in the competition with the full complement of their squad.

Liverpool on their own path have been abysmal and poor so far this season that they would quickly want to forget in a hurry or possibly rewrite the course of the season towards a positive light.
