The Manchester City midfielder took to his social media account to post an image of his mother and himself while he was signing the Manchester City contract, with the caption, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful mother! I love you.”
The English international went from grace to grass upon his move from Leeds United to Manchester City. He was constantly dropped to the bench, with Pep Guardiola preferring to use more clinical midfielders in matches.
