    Juventus striker Paulo Dybala still test positive for COVID-19 he contracted over 6 weeks ago and he is still asymptomatic according to reports.

    Paulo Dybala first announced that he and his girlfriend Oriana Sabatini tested positive for the virus on March 21 via Twitter and Instagram but added that they are both fine. That made him among the first set of footballers in Europe that contracted the dreaded virus.

    The news of his case broke out days after his Juventus teammates – Italian defender Daniele Rugani and French midfielder Blaise Matuidi were confirmed to be carriers of the virus.

    However, Rugani and Matuidi have fully recovered and allowed to mingle with their families a week ago, according to a statement from the club.

    Also, Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi who contracted the virus around the period the Juventus footballers had theirs, has since recovered and has started personal training routines.

    Paulo Dybala is expecting the result of two tests

    A source close to Paulo Dybala said the 26-year-old Argentina national team striker is doing well, training, and still showing no symptoms of the virus.

    The source also disclosed that another set of tests have been conducted on him and he was still awaiting the result of the tests. The set of tests are the 3rd and 4th tests that have been carried out since he was diagnosed with the virus.

    “He is doing well now, he has no symptoms and is even training. Now he is waiting for the results of the latest two swabs,” the source said.

    “Dybala has to respect the healthcare system and the time it takes. He is a soccer player and doesn’t get preferential treatment.”

    Also, a spokesperson of Juventus confirmed that the footballer is still a carrier of the virus and that the club would announce to the world when the tests come back negative.

    Dybala joined Juventus in 2015 for an initial fee of €32 million and has since made over 100 appearances for the club, winning the double of Serie A and Coppa Italia in each of his three seasons. He has also been named in the Serie A Team of the Year three times.
