Barcelona and Juventus on their Twitter pages today exchanged banter over what is believed to be about the rivalry between their star players, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The banter is following their Champions League encounter which ended 2-0 in favour of the Catalan giant at the Allianz Stadium.
It would have been the return of rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi, but the Argentine took the shine off his Portuguese counterpart who is currently battling COVID-19.
It was gathered that the latest COVID-19 returned positive again, ruling him out of the clash.
This made Ronaldo express his frustration over the swab test, saying he felt fine. As can be seen, the Portuguese is raring to go as he is currently asymptomatic to the dreaded virus.
Juventus v Barcelona: Messi had the last laugh in absence of Ronaldo
Excited at the precious three points at the Allianz Stadium, Barcelona took to their Twitter page to troll the Serie A champions with a message that is accompanied by a GOAT icon. The GOAT here stands for the Greatest Player of All Time (G.O.A.T).
There has been high level of rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi over the years with the two sharing 11 world footballer pf the year awards between them.
But unfortunately, since his move to the Serie A from Real Madrid, they have not been facing each other. This made the clash to be what football fans were looking forward to.
Unfortunately, Ronaldo couldn’t play the game as he continues his battle with COVID-19.
So, Messi took the shine by scoring the second goal at the dearth to seal their 2-0 win over their hosts.
Replying to the message, Juve tweeted: “You probably looked it up in the wrong dictionary. We’ll bring you the right one at Camp Nou.”

Before their return leg at the Camp Nou, it is hoped that Ronaldo would have recovered from the virus and be back to do what he knows how to do best.
Barcelona has garnered six points from the group after defeating both Juventus and Ferencvaros.
Juventus is adrift the La Liga giant on three points, while Ferencvaros and Dynamo Kievhave one point apiece, having played to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday in Hungary.
