Liverpool will have to face Aston Villa in the Premier League without Jurgen Klopp on the touchline.

The German tactician was handed a two-match ban following his comment after Liverpool 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp blasted referee, Paul Tierney, for a bizarre and unbalanced officiating that nearly turn the game against Liverpool.

In his words, Jurgen Klopp said Paul Tierney was against Liverpool in the match.

“He (Paul Tierney) has something against us,” he said.

The comment was met with full force by the FA who have now hit him with a two-match ban and a £75,000 fine.

Liverpool would have take on the battle of finishing in the top four in their next two games with Klopp out of the touchline but there is a lifeline for the former Borussia Dortmund manager.

He will serve a one-match ban against Aston Villa but will not serve the second in the last Premier League match for the season on a condition he must not commit the offense again.

This means should Jurgen Klopp blast the match referee again in the game against Aston Villa, the extra one-match ban will come into force on the last Premier League matchday.

Meanwhile, he is expecting to pay the £75,000 fine and stay off the touchline as Liverpool take on Aston Villa.

Reacting to the ban, Jurgen Klopp express his relief for escaping a lengthy ban. He also questioned what the FA intend to do with the £75,000 fine.

According to him, if the FA wants to keep the money, it is a harsh decision but if they want to use it for a good cause then he will be happy to pay.

“I would like to know, as always, where the (fine) money goes. If it’s for a good cause then I’m more than happy to pay it; if not, (and) the FA keeps it then we have to talk again and I think it’s a bit harsh.

“But apart from that, people around me were pretty negative. They thought it would be longer,” he said.

Klopp also revealed how he intend to communicate with the players while serving his ban.

He said he will watch the game from stand and speak through his coaches on the bench. He also insisted his voice may even be loud enough to reach the players from the stand.

“It’s one game, it’s like the Southampton game, it will be the same process. I can watch the game from a better position and be in contact with my coaches.”

“Nobody will shout like me if they don’t track back in the 70th minute and these kind of things. I sit far away but if the game is not good, I could make it happen. My voice is alright at least”

It will be the second time Jurgen Klopp will be serving a touchline ban this season.

The Premier League and Champions League winner watch the clash against Southampton in November from the stands because he was on a touchline ban after he bagged a red card against rivals Manchester City.

After a dismal early campaign, Liverpool are pushing earnestly for a top four finish. They are a point away from Manchester United but have played a game more. Should they lose against Aston Villa and Manchester United defeat Bournemouth, their top four hopes will be dashed.
