Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has been charged with improper conduct by the English Football Association after he was sent off in Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday, October 16.

Klopp was red-carded and sent off the pitch after ranting at assistant referee Gary Beswick for not flagging a foul committed against his side, during the 1-0 victory against City at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah demonstrated his class once again by scoring a stunning goal for his side to give them a 1-0 victory over Premier League rival Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

The Egyptian superstar shocked Premier League champions Manchester City in the 76th minute to open the scoring in a big clash at Anfield.

A distance ball launched by Alisson Becker found Salah, who delivered a brilliant turn to roll Joao Cancelo and then raced towards City’s goal post before twisting the ball past the visitor’s goalkeeper, Ederson to score what turned out to be the winning goal for Liverpool.

However, toward the end of the match, referee Taylor ignored a tussle between Mohammed Salah and Silva which saw the Egyptian striker being knocked to the ground.

The referee did not award any freekick in Liverpool’s way, and Klopp, whose side was winning 1-0 was not comfortable with the decision.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp, in his pre-West Ham press conference on Tuesday, said he will be available to coach his team in their match against West Ham at Anfield today, October 19, and said he’s yet to see any reaction relating to a possible charge from the FA.

Klopp said: “I think I will be there tomorrow because nothing has really happened yet. I don’t think something will happen tomorrow a few hours before the game.”

Nevertheless, later that afternoon, the FA declared openly that Jurgen Klopp had been charged “with a breach of FA Rule E3” following his improper behavior in the 86th minute against Guardiola’s City, which led to him being shown a red card and sent off the pitch.

The German coach has already apologized for his misconduct during the match.

Klopp said: “Something snapped in that situation, I’m not proud of that.
“I deserved a red card, and the way I looked at this moment is not right.”

Klopp has until Friday, October 21 to justify his misconduct before FA, which means that he will be permitted to coach his team against West Ham United from the sidelines.

However, it remains to be seen whether Klopp would be in the stands for Liverpool in Saturday’s away Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

The regular charge is likely to see the Liverpool manager being banned for a match and a fine.

More so, it’s noteworthy that Pep Guardiola has lost 11 matches to Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp as a manager, at least four more defeats than against any other manager.

    What’s next for Liverpool?

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds will be aspiring to follow up their victory over Premier League Champions Manchester City, and level up in the league table with another three points over West Ham United in their Premier League clash on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

    Venue: Anfield.
    Kickoff time: 19:30 BST.
