Jurgen Klopp performed his trademark celebration in front of Borussia Dortmund supporters, after the farewell match of Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski.

Klopp returned to football management on September 7, 2024, handling the team of Blaszczykowski against that of Piszczek.

Jurgen Klopp was greeted with a rapturous reception as he made his return to his old stomping ground, Signal Iduna Park.

Several legends of the club featured in the game, including; Neven Subotic, Mats Hummels, Roman Weidenfeller, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Nuri Sahin, and Marcel Schmelzer.

Jurgen Klopp tutored Jakub Blaszczykowski’s side to a 5-4 victory over Lukasz Piszczek’s side, who were tutored by Peter Krawietz.

Krawietz was Klopp’s assistant during his time at Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, with the German tactician being a good friend of the ex-Mainz 05 boss.

Following the game, Jurgen Klopp did his trademark celebration, by hitting the fist pumps to fans of the Black and Yellows, who were delighted by his presence.

Jurgen Klopp showed off his tactical ingenuity as Borussia Dortmund revealed the German manager’s strategy ahead of his return to the dugout.

The Black and Yellows took to their social media platforms to display Klopp’s special strategy for the encounter, as the 57-year-old was pictured in one of the dressing rooms at the Signal Iduna Park, with the German tactician’s formation written on a board.

Jurgen Klopp made it clear that the aim is to pass to Blaszczykowski and for the retired Polish winger to score.

The ex-Liverpool gaffer even drew an arrow with “vibes” on it, telling his men to celebrate with the crowd.

Klopp had initially on Friday, September 6, 2024, also informed his players of the plan for the game against Lukasz Piszczek’s teams.

He said: “Tomorrow’s tactics; good vibes and the power of friendship. Any questions?”

Lukasz Piszczek left Borussia Dortmund in 2021, having joined the club in 2010 and he called time on his career this summer.

Piszczek made 382 appearances for the Black and Yellows, scoring 19 goals and providing 64 assists across all competitions.

Jakub Blaszczykowski played for Dortmund between 2007 and 2016 and has been retired since 2023.

Blaszczykowski made 253 appearances for the club, scoring 32 goals and providing 52 assists in all competitions.

Jurgen Klopp was manager of the Black and Yellows from 2008 – 2015, and he guided the Signal Iduna Park side to 2 league titles, alongside 2 DFB-Pokal and 2 DFL-Supercups.

The 57-year-old also led the German club to the UEFA Champions League final in 2013, albeit losing 2-1 to rivals Bayern Munich.

Klopp is loved by Borussia Dortmund fans due to the successes he achieved at the club alongside the emotional attachment he has for the team.

Jurgen Klopp is usually connected emotionally to clubs he handles and that was visible during his spell at Liverpool.

Many Liverpool supporters were pained by Klopp’s decision to exit the club at the end of the 2023/24 season, but their love for him remains present.
