German tactician Julian Nagelsmann was fired on Thursday by Bayern Munich presumably due to matters off the pitch but on the pitch stats indicate that he was seemingly remarkable handling the side.

Bayern Munich confirmed that they parted ways with Nagelsmann on Friday and they have subsequently appointed former Borussia Dortmund manager, Thomas Tuchel as his successor.

The move behind booting out the former RB Leipzig manager was taken by Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasam Salihamidzic after deliberation with the club’s President Herbert Hainer.

Nagelsmann won 60 of his 84 matches as Bayern Munich manager after he was given the responsibility to tutor the German side.

He was made manager of the club in July 2021 and he has won one Bundesliga title and two German Super Cups throughout his time with the Bavarian giants.

Julian Nagelsmann incredible win percentage at Bayern Munich

The former TSG Hoffenheim boss also has a magnificent record as coach of the side with an impressive 71.4% win percentage.

In the UEFA Champions League this campaign, the club based in Munich are spotless and without any blemish as they have won all 8 of their games this campaign in addition to keeping 7 clean sheets.

Bayern Munich dismissing Julian Nagelsmann came as a shock to some sections of the footballing world due to what the 35-year-old has been able to do since his appointment.

His replacement, Thomas Tuchel’s first litmus test comes in the form of Borussia Dortmund in the Der Klassiker and the Black and Yellows sit at the summit of the German Bundesliga, a point ahead of Bayern Munich.

Julian Nagelsmann last game as manager of Bayern Munich ended in a defeat as they lost by a slim margin to Bayern Leverkusen at the Bay Arena.

It ended 2-1 as a brace from Exequel Palacios condemned Bayern Munich to a loss, Joshua Kimmich scored early in the 22nd minute but Bayern Munich couldn’t build on their early lead.

If they lose against Borussia Dortmund on the first of April at the Allianz Arena, they would go four points behind the Black and Yellows.

Tuchel might face Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League this campaign

Thomas Tuchel also faces the possibility of meeting another of his former sides in the UEFA Champions League.

If Bayern Munich defeat Manchester City and qualify for the Semi-finals they could face Chelsea if the West London side miraculously defeats Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are evaluating managerial alternatives if Antonio Conte exits the club.

Doubts continue to hover around the future of the Italian at North London after the 3-3 draw against Southampton last matchday and his subsequent fiery interview after the encounter.

The Lilywhites have twice previously eyed bringing Julian Nagelsmann to North London before they settled down for other managers due to issues that concerns availability. Now that the German tactician is available, Spurs are considering bringing him to North London to replace Conte.
