Jose Mourinho jokingly left a comment on John Mikel Obi’s Instagram post as the former Chelsea star reunited with ex-teammates.

The former Chelsea players were seen together at the Parc des Expositions d’Abidjan in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where they were invited to contribute to the African Cup of Nations(AFCON) 2023 Group Stage Draw.

Meanwhile, the draw resulted in setting up an electrifying battle between their respective national teams, the results saw Nigeria and Ivory Coast in Group A for the upcoming tournament.

John Mikel Obi took to his Instagram page to post a picture of himself, Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou having a good time.

The former Super Eagles midfielder expressed his pleasure at meeting his former teammates in Ivory Coast, the trio was pictured sharing some exciting moments with the Ivorian football players.

However, it was Jose Mourinho who made an eye-catching comment on the former Blues player’s Instagram post.

The AS Roma head coach was excited to see them together as he took his time to share a funny Instagram response in the comment section.

The legendary Chelsea boss wrote; “Daddy is missing, You rich guys can enjoy holiday time”.

The Portuguese International had a good time with the players, winning several silverware during their spell at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho guided Chelsea to their first-ever Premier League title in 2005 with Mikel Obi, Kalou, and Drogba all playing key roles.

Mikel Obi retires in 2022 and Drogba called it quits on the beautiful game in 2018 while Salomon is still actively playing as he represents top-flight Djibouti side AS Arta/Solar7.

Mikel Obi and Kalou first linked up at Stamford Bridge during a match played between Chelsea legends against Bayern Munich legends in memory of club icon Gianluca Vialli.

Mourinho, on the other hand, has been having a tough time during his third year at Roma.

The former Manchester United manager won the inaugural Europa Conference League in his first season with the Italian outfit and took them to the Europa League final the following year.

However, the former Real Madrid head coach is presently under intense pressure as the club currently sits 10th in the Italian Seria A table, and Mourinho is reported to be battling against the prospect of being fired.

What’s next for Jose Mourinho?

Roma have given the manager a chance to improve following the club’s low start to the 2023/2024 Serie A campaign, however, Roma might decide to part ways with the former Chelsea head coach if improvements are not seen within the club.
