Controversial manager and Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has said he wouldn’t reveal his source, but he knows all of Chelsea’s tactics that they plan on using against his side during their Premier League game on Saturday.

During a pre-match press conference, the Spurs boss said he was informed that Frank Lampard intends to play with five at the back.

When asked about his informant, he said: “The same way you have a lot of news and you don’t tell the sources.”

Mourinho could be well pulling our legs as he is most likely taking an educated guess. Especially since Lampard used the same tactics in December’s 2-0 win in the reverse fixture.

The Portuguese added: “Tomorrow the same. I was told the same. I was told they were back to a back five which is what they normally do when their results are not the best. They did that when they went to Lille, they did that when they came to us, a system they played for a few of us, and are very comfortable with.”

    The Spurs boss also added:

“It is a system very adapted to their routine and the qualities of their players, but they have so many options that they can do what the manager decides to do. At the moment we don’t have many options to think in the game on the tactical approach. We have what we have, with the players I have available, we have to try to build a competitive team.”

The Spurs boss expected to be without a significant striker, thanks to an injury for Son Heung-min who is expected to be out for the rest of the season. While Harry Kane is still out on injury. One can only guess how this will play out for the Spurs boss.

This win is very crucial for Mourinho’s men as this win will mean the would climb above Chelsea into fourth place.

The former Blues boss is returning to Stamford Bridge for the first time as Spurs manager but still says he has Chelsea down as a favorite to finish the season top four.

“At the moment, Tottenham, Manchester United, Arsenal, Sheffield United, Wolverhampton, Everton, we are the underdogs,” he said.

Mourinho acquired six trophies across two spells while at Stamford Bridge and is often still consider the king of Stamford bridge. Since his second exit in 2015, the Portuguese say he is still made to feel welcome by people within the club and looking forward to matchday.
