Inter Miami managing owner Jorge posted a cryptic message on Twitter with a photo of three blank pink jerseys with the caption: “Coming Soon. Si.”

Football fans deciphered that the two shirts were for Lionel Messi and his former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets.

The two players who spent majority of their career at Barca are expected to finalize their contracts in the coming days, and be formally introduced on July 16 and make their debut on July 21.

Jordi Alba, former Barcelona left back, is going to be the third big signing to join the MLS side this summer according to recent reports.

The Spanish national team player is set to sign as soon as Friday and will reunite with his former Barcelona teammates and coach Tata Martino, who coached Barcelona in 2013-14.

Alba, 34, is a free agent and is likely not to occupy one of Miami’s three designated player spots.

Should Alba join Inter Miami, he will take a massive pay cut in order to play for the MLS side after making $24 million last season.

Inter Miami are in dire need of a left back with the season-ending injury to Franco Negri as they look to rise up from last place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Jordi Alba played 11 seasons and made 459 appearances for Barcelona and won six La Liga titles, five Copa del Reys and the UEFA Champions League.

At the international level, Alba has played 93 games with the Spanish national team.

The Spaniard had a tearful farewell in his final game for Barcelona and he went on his social media account to share a farewell messsage.

He posted on his account, saying: “Thanks to my parents and my brother for all they have taught me; to my friends for sharing the journey with me; and to all teammates, staff, coaches, presidents and employees I have coincided with during 18 years in total with this club.“

“Thanks also to my children for the strength they give me every day and to my wife for all she does, without them none of this is possible.”

Alba was also approached by Saudi Arabian clubs but opted to join Messi and Busquets in Major League Soccer.
