Jordan Ozuna declared that she has changed her religion following her husband, Karim Benzema’s transfer to the Saudi Arabia club Al-Ittihad.
The American model and fashion influencer, Ozuna, the mother of Karim Benzema’s fourth child, talked about her recent conversion to Islam in an interview with AS Tikitakas.
The 32-year-old, born in Maryland, USA, further explained the rigorous dress protocols of the Middle East country.
Jordan Ozuna and Karim Benzema were seen together publicly in the last year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, where the former Real Madrid striker was given the prestigious award.
Following the 35-year-old transfer to Saudi Arabia after he left Real Madrid earlier in June 2023, Jordan Ozuna has now revealed their relationship in an interview with Yo Dona.
Talking about how they got to know each other, the American model confessed that she didn’t even know that Benzema was a big star.
Ozuna clarified that her changeover procession was held in the Madrid Mosque and that she could not hold back the tears as it was very passionate.
The model added that she has a sincere interest in this faith and that her extensive readings have led her to the conclusion that it is a beautiful religion.
Benzema’s girlfriend has been very open about the fact that she cried when reading the Quran during the holy month of Ramadan.
She has also mentioned reading a novel about a Christian who ultimately converts to Islam called “The Sacred Path to Islam,” which got her attracted to the religion.
Speaking of her conversion, Jordan Ozuna said: “I have converted to Islam. It was here in the Mosque of Madrid. They recite the Quran, it’s a small and intimate ceremony. I cried like a girl. I am very sentimental”.
He added: “I have researched a lot about this religion, and I find it beautiful. Everything I’ve read about the religion has moved me”.
Moreover, the model shared some information about her personal life, including her family.
