Former Chelsea captain, John Terry has stressed that no club in London can be compared to Chelsea which means that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are nowhere near the Stamford Bridge-based club.

The 41-year-old retired center-back who played for Chelsea senior team between 1998 and 2017 stressed that any game involving Chelsea and their rivals in London – Arsenal, and Tottenham should no longer be regarded as a London derby because of Chelsea’s superiority.

John Terry went on to note that during his playing days at Stamford Bridge, any game between Chelsea and Tottenham was always a guaranteed three points.

“Playing against Spurs meant a guaranteed three points”, John Terry said during a recent Instagram Question and Answer session.

“They shouldn’t be called London Derbies anymore because none of the London teams are anywhere near us.”

The English football legend who won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three league cups, two Community Shields, one UEFA Champions League, and one Europa League for Chelsea, played a total number of 69 derbies against Arsenal and Tottenham before he retired.
