Recently, it was a bath of the battle of egos in the blue side of Manchester.

At Manchester City egos were bruised and maybe even bridges burnt as defender, Joao Cancelo left Manchester City after a reported feud between him and his manager.

The feud has ultimately caused Cancelo’s exit from the Etihad for a few months on loan to bavarian side, Bayern Munich

The move on loan from Manchester City to Bayern Munich by dint of reactions and timing definitely ensued as a result of the frentic environment existing between both pair, manager “Pep Guardiola” and player “Joao Cancelo”.

Joao Cancelo has since gone on a social media rampage showing his utter disgust to some of his supporters in the Manchester based club.

The defender has gone on a blocking spree, blocking many well known fan accounts of Manchester City.

Even a notable fan account of Manchester City thought on Monday that the Instagram platform of the Portuguese defender, Joao Cancelo was not active anymore.

Meanwhile in reality Cancelo had actually blocked the said account obviously resulting in that account not being able to view whatever Joao Cancelo shared.

It’s not new seeing players kick back at managers or even go neck and neck with managers.

Pep Guardiola also is not new to this experience as names like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Samuel Eto, Yaya Toure, Cesc Fabregas and even Joe Hart are amongst a list of many illustrious players who have had altercations with the Spaniard.

Many purist, pundits, enthusiasts, fans and followers of the sport have labeled him as a dictatorial kind of manager.

Joao Cancelo and Pep Guardiola’s relationship has been heading for the ditch for months now, with Cancelo vocally voicing out his displeasure over his lack of playing time since the global mundial, the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

It may have come as a shock to many seeing Cancelo jump ship on loan to Bavaria because of how monstrous the Portuguese has been in recent months.

The recent turn of events has certainly poked a sour taste and sure disbelief in many who love to see him display his artistry on the football pitch for the Cityzens.

Joao Cancelo seemed to have bottled up enough in his “angry bank” and it led to the resultant outburst after he found out that he would not be included in the line-up for the game against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

These has cost the relationship between him and the Spaniard, Pep Guardiola a massive hit as things stand.

The Portuguese defender has started just three (3) out of ten (10) games since the world cup ended.

    Cancelo Reacts

Joao Cancelo has tried to pour cold water on the recent training ground bust-up between him and Pep Guardiola. He said: ‘I’ve not had much game time in the past few weeks, which influenced my decision. It has nothing to do with my relationship with Pep’.

There is a possibility that he could become a fully fledged player of Bayern Munich if they pay his £70m valuation in the summer transfer window.
