Laporta has reportedly asked the coaching staff to give the 17 year old center forward more time to earn a contract.

The Barcelona President had recently asked for his improvement to be followed closely.

According to Mundo Deportivo, conversations about a potential contract for the young player are currently being held between Joan Laporta and Roberto de Assis, the brother of Ronaldinho’s son.

Joao de Assis Moreira is working out with the club’s junior teams to secure a permanent contract for Ronaldinho’s son who is currently undergoing a trial with Barcelona.

Moriera is an attacking player who can also play in midfield, much like his father. Cruzeiro was his former club, however, he decided to end his agreement at the club to explore a move to Europe. He may be about to follow in his father’s footsteps and sign for Barcelona as conversations are already underway.

Although his future is uncertain, many supporters would like to see a Ronaldinho replacement at Barca once more.

Ronaldinho, the father of Moreira, was one of Barcelona’s key players during Laporta’s first tenure as the club’s president, which lasted from 2003 to 2010.

Between 2003 and 2008, Ronaldinho spent a spectacular five years at Barcelona.
