Jamie Vardy is no longer playing for England national team hence, he is using the ongoing international break for his business in the United States of America.

The 34-year-old Leicester City striker who made his debut for the Three Lions of England on June 7, 2015, and decided to stop playing international football in 2018, is currently in America where he oversaw the rebranding of his club, Rochester New York FC, or RNY FC.

Jamie Vardy bought a minority stake in the club in June 2021 which made him a co-owner of the club when it was known as Rochester Rhinos.

The New York-based club which has been in operation since 1996, has been out of operation for over four years. Vardy’s involvement with the club is believed to be a step towards bringing the club back to life.

Jamie Vardy and his partners are working towards making the club to start professional operation in 2022. Some of the steps they have taken so far include changing the logo, the flag, the name, and the slogan of the club.

Aside from the fact that the name of the club was changed from Rochester Rhinos to Rochester New York FC, the new slogan of the club is “Believe Impossible”.

The football career journey of Jamie Vardy who played from English lower division to not just being a Premier League player but becoming a Premier League champion in 2016 and FA Cup winner in 2021, inspired the slogan.

“That slogan is what we are all about,” Vardy said. “I’ve been written off so many times in my career – nearly as many as the Rochester Rhinos.

“We believe we can win trophies again and prove people wrong. This is what inspires me on and off the pitch. We will never forget the legacy of the Rhinos and the great things the team did, but now it’s time to build on that and look forward as Rochester New York FC.”

At the time of punishing this report, Jamie Vardy and his partners are working on registering the club to start playing professional soccer matches in 2022. Hence, they are negotiating with a series of US soccer leagues.

Reports say Vardy and his partners are interested in admitting the club to the just established MLS division known as MLS LDL (Lower Division League).

One of the goals of Jamie Vardy is to make the club as vibrant as his V9 soccer academy in England and to make the club start winning titles again.

Rochester New York FC have won four national championships and they are the only non-MLS club that have won the US Open Cup before things went sour for the club.

Vardy tweeted: “I’m delighted to be able to finally reveal our new
@rnyfcofficial identity. It’s been many months in the making and I hope you all like it.

“Rest assured we are still the same team, same history, same underdog spirit…we #BelieveImpossible.”
