Jamie Carragher has criticized the timing of the 2022 World Cup and claimed players are being treated like cattle.

Big-name players like Timo Werner, Raphael Varane, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Kylie Walker, N’Golo Kante, and many more are likely to miss the 2022 World Cup in Qatar due to injuries suffered in recent weeks.

Jamie Carragher has told FIFA that the World Cup should never happen in the middle of the season again, and he wouldn’t blame players for being overly protective in recent games.

The criticism came after South Korea and Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son suffered fractured eye sockets against Olympic Marseille in the Champions League.

Jamie Carragher also went ahead to state the fact that this weekend’s match between Chelsea and Arsenal and Tottenham against Liverpool will be less intense and that players who have the hope of representing their country in the World Cup will run away from injuries.

The World Cup was moved from the summer to the middle of the season due to the hot temperatures in Qatar.

The South American Football Association has called for the Premier League to take a week off before the start of the World Cup, which kicks off on November 20.

This call is the result of the national team managers’ fear that their important players may be out of the World Cup and that they will have to field a young squad against an experienced team.
