Jason Sancho’s relationship with manager Erik Ten Hag has reportedly deteriorated beyond redemption.

Sancho has been banished by Ten Hag from the first team since Manchester United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal on September 3, 2023.

Erik Ten Hag had dropped Jadon Sancho from the visit to the Emirates Stadium, due to the player’s performance in training.

Sancho afterward took to his X (formerly Twitter) account, to rubbish the assertions of his manager, stating that he had “been made a scapegoat”.

The 23-year-old wrote on X that he respects all decisions made by the coaching staff and he will continue to fight for Manchester United irrespective of what occurs.

Jadon Sancho also stated that unsaid reasons led to him being dropped from the game, as he had “conducted” himself in training.

An excerpt from the lengthy statement released by the Englishman reads:

“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue.”

Reports indicate that Erik Ten Hag is requesting an apology from Sancho, before he will reinstate him to the squad.

However, Sancho is unwilling to make an apology, despite being advised by his teammates to mend his ties with Ten Hag.

Based on recent reports, both parties are no longer on talking terms, with the situation deteriorating to a seemingly unredeemable level daily.

Jadon Sancho has been made to train with the academy players of Manchester United, after he was banned from all first-team facilities at Carrington, including the Canteen, according to reports.

Erik Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho ready to part ways

Erik Ten Hag is reportedly ready to let go of Sancho, and the England international is also ready for a move away from the Old Trafford giants.

It has been claimed that he would prefer a loan move away from Manchester United in the January transfer window, before examining his situation at the club next summer.

Jadon Sancho’s future with the Red Devils could also be tied to Ten Hag, as a possible departure for the Dutchman could see him return to the first team.

Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are reportedly interested in acquiring his services in the January transfer window, as they look to bolster their respective attacking setups.

Jadon Sancho joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund on July 23, 2021, for a fee of €85 million.

Before his feud with Erik Ten Hag, he had made 3 appearances for the Manchester-based club this term, scoring no goal and providing no assist.

Late in 2022, Ten Hag handed Sancho an individual training break, to allow him to get back to the right mental and fitness state.

The 23-year-old returned to action on February 1, 2023, in a Carabao Cup encounter against Nottingham Forest, and he appeared refreshed.

He also had an impressive 2023 summer preseason with Manchester United, but his competitive form hasn’t been up to the standards expected of him.

Jadon Sancho has made 82 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals and providing 6 assists across all competitions.
