Manchester United has relied heavily on Cristiano Ronaldo, Ralf Rangnick insists, he further explained that He is unsure, though, if the experienced forward will return to the club next season.

On Thursday, Ronaldo came to United’s rescue once more, netting the equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea to keep United’s Premier League top-four aspirations alive. With the impending shift in the Old Trafford dugout, there is doubt surrounding Ronaldo, and Rangnick cannot provide clear assurances about the club’s talisman at this time.

When reporters asked if United had grown dependent on the 37-year-old after the game, Rangnick remarked, “We went through the list of names that were missing since the West Ham game.”  You’ll notice that we’ve got all of our offensive players on the field, with Juan Mata the lone one on the bench. “

Ronaldo is the only United player to score in double figures this season, with 23 goals in all competitions, more than double the total of any other United player. With nine points, Bruno Fernandes comes in second.

“We have to be fair with the guys,” Rangnick remarked, defending his club. Several more players also scored goals for us. I recall 10 different goal scorers in my first ten games. It all comes down to how many chances we can create and how many goal scorers we have. ” When you compare our players to those who played for Chelsea or those who played for Manchester United, you’ll notice that we have a lot of similarities.

“Yes, we rely heavily on Cristiano at the moment. He also put in a strong showing when Chelsea had the ball. Certainly, an emphasis on bringing in a couple of fresh attackers is necessary.

Rangnick will step down as manager next season and take on a consulting position, which he appears to be doing in addition to guiding the Austrian men’s national team.

Erik ten Hag has taken over as United manager, putting Ronaldo’s future at the club in jeopardy, and Rangnick declined to speculate on what the new boss will do. “This is something Erik and the board, as well as myself, should discuss,” Rangnick added.

Again, I haven’t spoken to Erik about it yet, so it’s pointless to discuss it now.” While doubt swirls around him, Ronaldo was once again United’s hero on the pitch, as his equalizer secured the Red Devils a crucial point against Chelsea on Thursday in their Champions League qualifying campaign.
