Inter Milan have won the 2023/24 Serie A title after a 2-1 victory over City rivals AC Milan.
The Nerazurri have been runaway leaders of the Italian topflight, and had went into the game with a 14-point gap on top of the table.
With six matches left to wrap up the season, they needed victory to seal their 20th Serie A title.
Interestingly, the two sides are one of the most successful Serie A clubs with 38 Serie A titles equally shared between them.
While AC Milan were far off chances of catching up with the 2022/23 Champions League finalists, having the arch-rivals clinch the Serie A title at the San Siro was a big blow to the Stefan Pioli-led side.
Tied on the same number of Serie A titles, the Nerazurri were en route to breaking the tie and winning the bragging right but the coveted silverware has never been won in the Milan derby.
It was a tightly-contested clash as the prolific Inzaghi-led team met the stubborn city rivals determined to delay their title celebrations.
