The 2023–24 Serie A Champions Inter Milan have rejected a transfer offer from Bayern Munich to sign Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Bayern Munich side offered a fee of €40 million, and they put forward a wage rate of €8 million to the Turkish player who is currently participating in the Euro 2024.

The Inter Milan manager, Simone Inzaghi, considered Calhanoglu an important player, and he wants him to continue playing for the club beyond next season as they look to retain the Scudetto.

Bayern Munich are currently in the process of rebuilding ahead of next season, and they have shown genuine interest in bringing Calhanoglu to Allianz Arena.

The Turkish superstar will be interested in playing for the Bundesliga giant. Calhanoglu had a lot of experience in the German Bundesliga, having played for Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburger.

Calhanoglu is a multi-talented player capable of playing as a box-to-box player. Also, he performed excellently in the defensive midfield position over the last three seasons.

It is a position in which the midfielder has found his best over the years of his career. He was the best midfielder in the Serie A last season because of his consistency.

He was instrumental in Inter Milan’s dominant title victory in the Serie A.

The Bundesliga giant will focused on other targets, with Michael Olise likely to join the football club before the commencement of the Olympics.

They are also in the transfer market for Fulham midfielder João Palhinha.

The midfielder is willing to join the Bayern Munich side and play in the Champions League next season, but Fulham remain the only stumbling block in his potential move to Germany.

The Bayern Munich side will make a final offer for the Portuguese, and if they get rejected, they will consider moving on to other players.
