Inter Milan confirmed that they paid £6.7 million to get Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea, despite receiving a hefty amount from the London giant.
Chelsea paid a record fee of £110 million to sign Lukaku from Inter Milan. But after a series of clashes with the manager over playing time and interviews, Chelsea decided to loan him out.
The Italian media confirmed that the Lukaku deal doesn’t have a buyback clause and that he will return to Chelsea when the loan deal ends.

How Lukaku has struggled at Inter Milan Since His Return
Lukaku has missed eight matches this season due to a hamstring injury. The Chelsea striker came back against Sampdoria and played only 22 minutes of the match.
After a miserable spell at Manchester United, Lukaku was converted by Antonio Conte into a world-class talent.
Inter Milan fans were already impatient with him. Romelu Lukaku had failed to find his previous form, which helped Inter Milan win the Serie A title.
Having missed 17 games due to injury since the start of the 2021–22 season, compared to just 16 the previous two years, Romelu Lukaku numbers are very embarrassing.
Will Lukaku Have Chance To Play When He Returns To Chelsea
Chelsea are rumored to be in negotiations to sign RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku, and he has already signed a personal term with Chelsea.
If the deal goes through, Chelsea are going to have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, and Nkunku as their attacking options.
It will be difficult for Romelu Lukaku to get into the squad. Graham Potter’s formation and style of play allows the centre forward to come into the midfield to contribute to goal scoring.
Lukaku is already accustomed to staying in the opponents’ 18-yard box waiting for the ball to score. The issue he had with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was not bending to the manager’s formation.
In that case, Romelu Lukaku may find It difficult to accept Potter’s formation. However, Lukaku is more likely to miss Belgium opening match in the World Cup due to lack of playing time and injuries.
What Next For Inter Milan And Romelu Lukaku
