Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and AS Roma lost their Italian Serie A matches on the same day for the first time since February 13, 1955.

67 years ago, Juventus lost to Lazio by two goals to one. It was a surprising result for the fans then because Lazio was in the 15th position on the Serie A table.

A goal from Lazio Per Bredesen in the 12th minute, and an equalizer by Antonio Montico in the 39th minute set the tone for what ended up becoming a dramatic night. Per Bredesen scored the winning goal in the 73rd minute.

AC Milan lost to Sampdoria at San Siro by three goals to one on the same day that Juventus lost on February 13, 1955. However, AC Milan went on to win the league after playing 34 matches.

Inter Milan lost to SPAL away from home that same year by two goals to nil. SPAL Rinaldo Olivieri scored a stunner in the 63rd minute, and Sergio Morin, another SPAL player, scored in the 83rd minute to win the match. Inter Milan ended up in the 8th position that season.

AS Roma, who finished third on the Serie A table in the 1954/55 season, had an impressive performance, but history had it that they lost on February 13th, 1955 by 12:00am to Genoa. Roma was shocked in the 83rd minute by Attilio Frizzi.

On September 18, 2022, history repeated itself with Juventus losing to newly promoted side Monza after Angel Di Maria got sent off.

The Old Ladies currently sit in the 8th position in Serie A and this looks like their poorest start in a decade.

Inter Milan were beaten by Udinese by three goals to one, and it is looking like Fillipe Inzaghi’s job is on the line if he does not turn the season around or if the club keeps dropping points in the league.

AC Milan lost to Napoli at San Siro by two goals to one. It was an interesting match, but the non-availability of Rafael Leao made AC Milan sluggish on the attack.

Olivier Giroud scored in the 69th minute after Matteo Politano’s goal in the 55th minute. Diego Simeone’s son, Giovani Simeone, continued his fine form in the absence of Victor Osimhen, scoring in the 78th minute.

The win lifted Napoli to the top of the table before the international break.

Atalanta lost to AS Roma by a goal scored in the first half by Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini in the 35th minute.

Roma do not deserve to lose because they performed exceptionally well, but they failed to capitalize on Atalanta’s weak defence.

As Roma manager, Jose Mourinho was sent off after coming forward to criticize the official biasness in the match.
