Manchester United winger Antony has been labeled a “liar” by a banker, Ingrid Lana, who claimed the Brazilian allegedly assaulted her.
Ingrid Lana’s allegations came to the fore after Antony released a statement expressing his innocence over the raft of allegations leveled against him.
In a statement, the 23-year-old termed the allegations leveled against him by former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin as “false”, and he is making efforts to clear his name.
Allegations against Antony
However, another allegation also came to the limelight, and it was that of Ingrid Lana, a “Sales manager”, according to her bio on Instagram.
Lana claimed that Antony attacked her at his home in Manchester, England, and it occurred in October 2022.
Via an interview with Record, which aired on Sunday, September 9, 2023, Ingrid Lana made it known that Antony attempted to have sex with her.
She claimed that the footballer pushed her against the wall when she refused his advances, and accidentally hit her head on the wall.
Lana, who has about 1 million followers on Instagram said that she went to Antony’s apartment “strictly for business” purposes.
However, following her arrival, she found out that he had a second agenda for her visit to his house in Manchester.
Ingrid Lana said in the interview: “I was there strictly for business. He invited me and upon my arrival, I discovered he had second intentions. I was never anyone’s mistress.”
Antony also shared WhatsApp messages between him and Lana, as he responded to the interview in his usual confident manner.
However, Lana couldn’t hold back, as she accused the Manchester United star of being “desperate”.
She also branded him a liar and claimed that Antony’s response basically shows that he doesn’t respect women.
The banker said: “He shared conversations between us as friends… including explicit conversations that don’t even sound like me, because he’s desperate.”
She also added that “the truth” will surely prevail, saying in an interview that Antony is “embarrassing” himself.
Antony dropped by Manchester United “until further notice”
The former Ajax attacker agreed with Manchester United to spend some time away from the club, to sort out issues in his personal life.
This will see him be absent from matches “until further notice”, possibly pending when the matter has been put to a definitive end.
Meanwhile, Reginaldo Teixeira, an associate of Antony has leaked a phone call recording of himself and Ingrid Lana.
The conversation was recorded and a transcript has since been shared across social media.
The United Stand shared the transcript on X, formerly known as Twitter, and it apparently indicated that the footballer could be innocent of the allegations.
Ingrid Lana didn’t know that she was recorded by Teixeira, and she expressed that several individuals have offered her money to cook up lies about Antony.
The transcript also suggested that Gabriela Cavallin faked her injury, to frame the footballer for assault.
Meanwhile, Rayssa de Freitas is also another woman who has leveled allegations of assault against the footballer.
Freitas claimed she was pushed out of Antony’s car following an argument, and she sustained severe injuries due to that.
The Manchester United winger has also responded to the allegation, and in a statement from his camp, they termed the allegations “unfounded” and baseless.
