One of the biggest wishes of Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi is to link up with his England teammate Jadon Sancho who he said he has a huge understanding with on the field of play.

Hudson-Odoi and Jadon Sancho were teammates in 2017 during the FIFA under 17 World Cup held in India that year. They both played on the wings of the England team that went all the way to win the tournament.

Prior to the under 17 World Cup, Jadon who now plays for Borussia Dortmund and the Chelsea youngster were on the wings of England under 17 team that finished as runner-up in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.

They both received their call-up to the England national team in 2018 where they had the opportunity of playing together again. The 20-year-old Borussia Dortmund star and the 19-year-old Chelsea star have played with each other for England national team in at least three competitive matches.

Hudson-Odoi and Sancho are ‘mad’ close

So now that there have been talks that Jadon Sancho wants to leave German Bundesliga to the English Premier League, the only destination Hudson-Odoi wishes that the skilful winger lands at is Chelsea.

“I and Sancho are mad close, we talk every other day, always seeing how each other are and how we’re doing”, Hudson-Odoi told Michael Dapaah via a live interview on Instagram

“We’re always making sure each other is good. Obviously, he’s a great player, I love playing with him – he’s a great player to play with.

“I played against him sometimes in the Youth Cup games or we would play each other for England, the link-up has always been there and we’ve always loved playing with each other.

“The way we play with each other we just know where each other is on the pitch every time and we just love to play with each other.

“I don’t know [if he’ll come]. Of course, I would love it if he came to Chelsea.

“We’ve had a great partnership throughout, the way we play with each other is amazing. If he came, the link-up will still be there.”

The odd that Sancho would make the Stamford Bridge his home in this summer transfer is looking almost impossible as Manchester United looks more likely to secure his signature than any other Premier League club.

However, the transfer window can be so unpredictable that Chelsea can jump on Sancho’s deal and pay the £100 million price tag Borussia Dortmund has placed on the footballer.
