English side Tottenham Hotspur have dolled out the cash in recent years to give support to their managers in order to sign players that would help produce the goods.

The cash inflow might differ from managers to managers but the hierarchy of Tottenham Hotspur has released cash as a means of backing their coaches.

After the ouster of Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur have appointed three managers. They have booted out two and one is still in charge of the side.

    Jose Mourinho

Mourinho was brought in to manage Tottenham Hotspur after he was without a coaching job since he left Manchester United in December 2018.

The North London side signed 10 players during the time the Portuguese was manager of the side and they forked out £131 million to acquire the players.

Spurs signed Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn, Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Rodon, Gedson Fernandes on loan alongside Carlos Vinicius.

Jose Mourinho was dismissed after 17 months at the helms of affair and it was about 5 days before Tottenham Hotspur’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

He won 44 of his 86 games as coach of the side and he led the club to a sixth place finish in his first campaign.

    Nuno Espirito Santo

The Portuguese was appointed in the summer of 2021 by Tottenham Hotspur after his exploits with Wolverhampton Wanderers and the club signed 5 players while he was at the club.

Tottenham Hotspur dismissed Nuno Espirito Santo less than four months after he was hired

He was fired on the 1st of November in 2021 after a run of bad results which saw Spurs lose 5 in 7 Premier League matches.

Tottenham Hotspur spent £57 million to sign players for Nuno Espirito Santo, the Lilywhites acquired Bryan Gil, Pierluigi Gollini, Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero and Pape Matar Sarr during Espirito Santo’s time at the club.

    Antonio Conte

Following the dismissal of Nuno Espirito Santo, a day after, Tottenham Hotspur announced the appointment of Antonio Conte as manager of the side.

Conte has been the most backed manager by Spurs since they let go of Mauricio Pochettino as they have released £192 million since the arrival of the Italian.

Tottenham Hotspur have signed 12 players since the former Chelsea manager took over the side.

Spurs under Antonio Conte have signed Dejan Kulusevski, Arnaut Danjuma, Djed Spence, Fraser Forster, Pedro Porro, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ivan Perisic, Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Clement Lenglet, Destiny Udogie and Cristian Romero whose loan deal was turned to a permanent deal for the club.

At the start of the campaign, Conte stated that Tottenham Hotspur needed three more transfer windows to battle with Premier League rivals.

The club ranked fourth in the winter transfer window for acquisitions made in the summer behind Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham United.

Tottenham Hotspur finished 4th in the Premier League last campaign with Conte in charge as manager after taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo.

They are also currently on the same spot this campaign but they have been wishy-washy under the Italian.

Reports have littered around on the possibility of his dismissal after he openly lambasted the club in a presser following Spurs 3-3 draw with Southampton.
