Unknown gunmen in hoods hit the home of Valencia and Dutch footballer, Justin Kluivert, days after Valencia sank into a heated racial row in La Liga.
Kluivert, 24, who is currently plying his trade on loan with Valencia from Italy outfit, Roma, is said to have been away with his teammates when the attack occured.
According to marca, the hooded gunmen broke into Kluivert’s home in Betera and carted away valuables, injuring his partner.
Kluivert and his teammates are facing a dire relegation battle in La Liga with just two points above the relegation zone.
The Dutch footballer is said to have joined his teammates preparing for a midweek clash with Mallorca today when the gunmen broke into the house.
According to Valencia Plaza, Justin Kluivert’s partner was battered by the merciless and menace-looking assailants after she returned home from walking the dogs.
The gunmen were able to gain access to the property by compeling Kluivert’s partner to grant access into the house after she returned from walking the dogs.
After gaining access to the property, reports from Spanish media reveal the gunmen asked Justin Kluivert’s partner the whereabout of her lover’s valuables. They were reportedly speaking in English accents and did not wait for the lady’s response before descending on her at gun point.
Valuables such as jewelries, watches, and clothes estimated at £138, 000 has been stolen from the property.

The attack on Justin Kluivert’s home is coming at the backdrop of the racial row that engulfed La Liga and Spain following Valencia’s 1-0 win against Real Madrid on Sunday.
However, it is yet unconfirmed whether the attack is linked to the controversial match against Real Madrid.
