Former Manchester United and South Korean footballer, Ji-Sung Park has hyped his countryman Heung-Min Son by saying that he’s better than current Manchester United player, Marcus Rashford.
Ji-Sung Park added that Heung-Min Son, his countryman, should move to Old Trafford to continue his legacy at the Premier League giants.
Recall that Heung-Min Son finished the 2021/22 season as the highest top scorer in the Premier League alongside Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah.
The South Korean football star got the golden boot award with a total number of 23 goals and none of the goals came from a penalty kick, which is a better stat compared to Salah’s. He was also instrumental in getting Tottenham Hotspur back into the Champions League for next season.
The London club had to fight till the last day with neighbors Arsenal for the fourth place.
Before the last season, Heung-Min Son has always been a great addition to the Tottenham Hotspur squad as he’s always provided assists for their hitman and captain Harry Kane.
However, he was surprisingly left out of the 2022 PFA Team of The Year even after having one of his best seasons in the league.
The fact that Son won the 2021-2022 golden boot award means that he is the first Asian player to win the award. Hence, he was honored in South Korea for the award.
Days after the 2022 summer transfer window opened, Heung-Min Son’s countryman Ji-Sung Park urged him to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United.
Park believes that Son would be a great addition to Erik ten Hag as he looks to strengthen the Manchester United squad ahead of next season. The South Korean iconic player believes that Heung-Min Son would do better at Manchester United than Marcus Rashford.
He also urged Heung-Min Son to follow in the footsteps of former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United player, Dimitar Berbatov, adding that Dimitar Berbatov left Tottenham Hotspur and came to Manchester United because of the promise of winning trophies and he won them.
Park believes that Tottenham is not a place to win trophies and Manchester United will give them to Son.
“Heung-min Son is a better player than Rashford, I believe he deserves to continue my legacy at Manchester United. He could score more goals than Sancho and Rashford had missed”, he said.
“Tottenham Hotspur is not a Trophy environment, if you want to close the chapter of your career with Trophies you need to move on to another club very quickly, He must learn from Dimitar Berbatov.”

Manchester United are also interested in signing Heung-Min Son but no official offer has been made yet.
