KSI’s road to fame began in 2009 when he was posting videos of himself playing the football video game. He occasionally play other popular video game like Grand Theft Auto.
He seems to have carve a niche for himself for his boxing fights against other YouTube personalities. Having launched a music career, he now focuse mostly on ‘diss’ tracks.

According to reports, KSI earns £2.9m ($4.5m) a year through his work as a YouTuber. A judge ruled 56-55 in favour of Paul, while the remaining two ruled in favour of KSI 57-54 and 56-55.
This was because Paul was involved in a knockdown controversy in Round 4 where it looked as if he had hit KSI while his opponent was down. This led to deductions of two points away from his points , and he could be heard saying, “You can’t do that s—.”
Who is KSI?
KSI’s original names are Olajide William Olatunji. Now, he is is a YouTube star, entertainer, musician, entrepeneur and, a professional boxer.
His succefull YouTube channel, KSIOlajidebt, was launched in 2009. To date, has nearly five billion video views, with more than 20 million video subscribers.
Although his videos catered around FIFA, he also competed in eSports competitions and most notably beat Virgin Gaming co-founder Zach Zeldinfull in a game of FIFA.
There was a time, he and four other gaming YouTubers formed a group called the Ultimate Sidemen. They later expanded it to accommodate seven members in total.
KSI left the group in 2017, due to internal conflicts. He then went on to release ‘diss’ tracks against several members.
However, he rejoined the group a few months later. This made people to criticize him for allegedly planning to generate views with the conflict saying it was not real.
As part of jibe towards KSI, YouTube personality Joe Weller also released a ‘diss’ track .This further led to a Twitter row between the pair.
After their Twitter argument, they announced they would be taking part in a boxing match against each other, which held in February 2018 and saw KSI win the fight in the third round by technical knockout.
In a lucrative non-professional boxing event of all-time in August 2018, KSI took on Logan Paul alongside his younger brother Deji, more commonly known as his YouTube channel name ComedyShortsGamer, who took on the younger of the Paul brothers Jake Paul.
KSI’s first fight with Logan Paul ended in a draw. According to reports, itis estimated to have earned in excess of £37m ($50m) in streaming revenue.
