Eden Hazard has continued from where he left in the Champions League during the week to score his first goal this season for Real Madrid against Huesca at the Alfredo Di Stefano

The Belgian winger was introduced when Madrid was about to suffer a 2-0 loss against Borussia Monchengladbach. But the input of Hazard secured an important point for the Whites.

The 4-1 win takes the Galacticos to the top of the La Liga table, pushing Real Sociedad, who have played a game more, to second till they play Celta Vigo on Sunday (15:00 GMT).

Huesca later reduced the deficit as Mir collected the ball on the left and managed to work a yard or two of space before swinging in a cross to the back stick for David Ferreiro to side feet in from three yards out.

Benzema later got his brace on the stroke of 90 minutes through a simple header from close to seal the win for Zinedine Zidane.

Eden Hazard has scored his second goal for Real Madrid in all competitions (24 appearances), the first one since October 2019 against Granada in La Liga, 392 days ago.
