Bayern Munich got the opener of the game in the 11th minute before Harry Kane scored the second for the Bavarians via a header.
Anthony Caci halved the deficit for Mainz 05 in the 43rd minute before Leon Goretzka put the icing on the cake for the Munich-based club in the 59th minute.
