Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane used the Europa Conference League game between Tottenham Hotspur and NS Mura on Thursday, September 30, to prove that he is still a striker.
The 28-year-old English striker came on as a second-half substitute in the Conference League game and made an immediate impact.
Within 30 minutes after coming on, Harry Kane scored three stunning goals to confirm that he is still the talisman of the Premier League club.
Before coach Nuno Espírito Santo introduced the likes of Kane, Son Heung-min, and Lucas Moura, the Premier League club were already leading the Slovenian football club 2-1, thanks to a 4th-minute goal from Dele Alli and an 8th-minute goal from Giovani Lo Celso.
Their introduction completely changed the temple of the game and gave Tottenham Hotspur control of the game. The impact of the substitution started paying off in the 68th minute when Harry Kane got his first goal.
In the 77th minute, the England national team captain made it 4-1 and completed his onslaught in the 88th minute to record his first hat-trick of the 2021-2022 season.
The hat-trick against NS Mura is the football star’s 13 hat trick for Tottenham Hotspur. Harry Kane is now the first player at the Premier League club to score a hat trick as a substitute since 1995. The last Spurs player to achieve that was Ronny Rosenthal.
Kane’s hat-trick against NS Mura is the footballer’s first major impact this season. He has played in 5 Premier League games without scoring nor providing an assist.
These stats made most British pundits wonder whether Kane who scored 33 goals and provided 17 assists in all competitions last season was still a striker.
Many blamed his goalscoring form on his unwillingness to continue to play for Tottenham. Recall that ahead of the 2021-2022 season, Kane tried to leave Spurs but the club refused to let him go even after Manchester City made a £100 million offer for his services.
But with his hat-trick in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, Harry Kane has confirmed that his heart is still at the Premier League club.

After the 5-1 win over NS Mura, Kane told BT Sport that he did not expect to play the game and stressed that it is always a good feeling to score.
“Every striker wants to score goals. I probably wasn’t expecting to come on today but it’s nice to get the minutes,” he said.
“Whenever you see the ball hit the back of the net it’s a good feeling. Hopefully, we can take it into the weekend. It was nice to come off the bench and score a few goals.”
While Tottenham coach Nuno Espírito Santo said: “I think the game needed. In the best way, the best way was to have the players on the pitch and they brought the energy the team needed definitely at that moment.
“The team needed the energy and it was good. It was good for the team and good for everybody. Today was important to perform the way we did. A good result and this way we recover better and prepare for the next one better. A lot of positives.”
“Important for players that work every day to have minutes.” 🗣
