Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur has disclosed that he had an honest talk with the club’s chairman Daniel Levy following Spurs’ 6-1 loss against Newcastle United amid speculation about his fate.

Harry Kane has been heavily linked with a transfer away from the London club this summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea showing interest in the England International.

The 29-year-old England and Tottenham captain’s current contract with the club is due to end next summer and according to insiders, Harry Kane is willing to see out his deal and leave the club for free in 2024.

Meanwhile, Daniel Levy has a big difficulty on his hands this summer with Kane’s contract status, meaning that he may be forced to cash in on the striker to prevent losing him for nothing.

After the team’s embarrassing loss to Newcastle, captain Harry Kane revealed that he and his Spurs teammates had an “honest conversation” with owner Daniel Levy about the team’s recent struggles.

The conversation led to the hiring of new head coach Ryan Mason, the club’s third manager this season following the dismissals of Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini.

Speaking after Tottenham’s draw against Man United on Thursday, 27th of April, Harry Kane said; “The chairman asked for a meeting, obviously I won’t go to what was said but I think it was important for him ( Daniel Levy) to understand where the players head were at the moment”.

Kane added “We’re still fighting for fourth place but if it’s not fourth we’ll try to finish fifth or sixth, as high up as we can in this league, it’s so competitive, you can easily end up 8th or 9th if you’re not careful. That’s what it was to give us the best chance”.

After the managerial decision, Levy released a statement to the fans, saying that he had spoken with the players’ committee (Kane, Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg) and that the team was committed to a strong finish to the season.

On Thursday, the England captain was the hero in Tottenham’s comeback against United, which resulted in a 2-2 draw.

And at halftime, with the Old Trafford club up by two goals, the away fans were heard chanting, “Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June.”

Erik ten Hag is eager to sign a new No. 9 this summer to lead his attack in the upcoming season.
