Harry Kane Bags Brace as Tottenham Grabs 2-0 Win Over Nottingham Forest

    Harry Kane scored twice to secure a 2-0 win for Tottenham over Nottingham Forest, with Antonio Conte maintaining an unbeaten run with a third Premier League win.

    Antonio Conte traveled to take on Nottingham Forest as he hopes to build on his near-perfect Premier League start. The Italian has dropped only 2 points in his last three matches.

    The first half started with a pleasant surprise for the Italian. Just 6 minutes into the game, Harry Kane scored the opening goal. 

    After receiving Kulusevski’s cross, Kane fired a 20-yard shot into the bottom corner to give the visitors the lead.

    Nottingham Forest jumped on the game pressing the Lilywhites for a goal, the visitors once again showed class by hitting it in their first attempt on the attack. 

    Forest pushed for a leveler in quick successive attacks, but Tottenham’s defense proved too solid to be caught unawares.

    It was Tottenham again in the 16th minute. They have gone very close to strengthening their lead with another goal.

    Forest did not clear their lines after Perisic crossed into the box. From 22 yards, Son fired a curved shot over the bar.

    Forest continued to make efforts to find an equalizer, but the visitors were the better team; they appeared more deadly when on the attack.

    Tottenham missed a series of clear-cut chances but were able to hold onto their narrow 1-0 lead. The first half ended with the visitors trailing by a goal to nil.

    It was more of attacking threats from both sides as the second half began. But Forests had more possession than Spurs.

    Both teams created clear chances but were unable to convert them. Spurs were awarded a penalty in the 53rd minute.

    Harry Kane took it, but Dean Henderson was quick to read his movements. He dived to the right and made a fantastic save. The Lilywhites had missed a good chance to double their lead.

    Another chance for Spurs in the 62nd minute. Nottingham Forest defended son’s cut in from the right, but the ball fell back to him; Henderson brilliantly stopped his thumping shot.

    Kulusevski fired blank in the 63rd minute after cutting in from the right. Another good chance was missed. 

    Antonio Conte took off Son for Richarlison, being on Ryan Sessegnon for Perisic in the 75th minute.

    Spurs were clearly dominating the hosts as the game approached the final minutes. They set up some great chances but missed them all.

    Forest made three changes at a time in the 76th minute. Awoniyi, Freuler, and Kouyate came on after O’Brien, Cooks, and Yates were taken off.

    Harry Kane finally nodded home a cross from substitute Richarlison to double the lead for Tottenham. The game ended with the Lilywhites grabbing a crucial 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
