Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola gives up on his chances to win the Premier League title this term. He says fixing the gaps to beat Liverpool is ”crazy”.
Following the 11 points interval between Jurgen Klopp’s team and the City is untouchable. The Reds only lost a match, 2-1 to the defending champions last season. Also, was only one point behind the City which led to their title loss in 2018.
Liverpool fast earn 43 points at the top of the PL table, while Man City has 32 points sitting third. Guardiola will be on an impossible mission to thinking of overtaking Klopp as the Reds seemingly unstoppable.
However, Guardiola says it’s ridiculous to suggest Manchester City catching up with Liverpool in the current march.
“The title is over, what I read nobody gives us a chance, it’s done,” Guardiola is his post-match media conference said so on Tuesday.
Moreover, the City’s 2-0 success over Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday night put them back to their winning ways. But truly, do not guarantee his victory in the title race.
He continues “For the distance we have against Liverpool. It would be a little bit crazy to think about the title, honestly.
“We have to think about the derby, game by game, it’s not just about the Premier League. Other competitions, and it’s important to take this rhythm for the next fixtures.”
Guardiola’s focus might be the Champions League. As the Spanish failed to win the trophy for the club since appointment in 2016.
