Golden Boy Award 2023: 10 Premier League players are on the shortlist with Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Man City and Brighton all represented.

Golden Boy Award 2023: 10 Premier League Players On Shortlist

The award is won by Europe’s best youngster aged under 21 in a calendar year and began in 2003.

Firstly, Liverpool have two of their players on the list; Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic are on the shortlist for the 2023 Golden Boy Award.

Barcelona always have a representative on the list as they always encourage and field younger players in their team.

Gavi, who has been nominated again for this year’s shortlist, won last year’s award.

Jude Bellingham, who recently joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund this summer, will battle Gavi for the crown this year.

Bayern Munich wonderkid and Germany International Jamal Musiala is also on the list and also a favorite.

Xavi Simons, who has joined RB Leipzig on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, is also shortlisted after a good season at PSV Eindhoven.

He is on the list alongside his teammate Benjamin Sesko, while highly-rated striker and Manchester United target Rasmus Hojlund made the list too.

United also are being represented on the list of the 100-player shortlist by star Argentine attacker Alejandro Garnacho.

Manchester City are not left out too with their duo Rico Lewis and Maximo Perrone are both on the shortlist, while Chelsea are represented by Lewis Hall and Levi Colwill.

Brighton also are not left out too, they have Irish striker Evan Ferguson joined by exciting South American midfielders Julio Enciso and Facundo Buonanotte.

Scottish giants Celtic are not left out in the Golden Boy Award 2023 as they are represented by Odin Holm following his transfer from Valerenga.

The Award was established by Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport in 2003. The voting process is coordinated by a panel of judges featuring sports journalists from across Europe.
