It was a humiliating moment for former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique after he was booed by the entire stadium during a Live interview.
The Spanish former footballer showed up at his own pal streamer Ibai Llanos celebrity boxing event in Madrid, where he didn’t seem to be welcomed by the fans.
Pique was one of the celebrities that attended the event at La Velada Del Ano in the Spanish capital on July 1, 2023. The defender appeared in an attractive way, wearing a bright blue shirt and a pair of shining glasses
His extravagant look caught the attention of the interviewer, who said, “I love your look. Yes, just a bit for the occasion”, Pique responded.
But he was clearly booed by the fans who were present at the event. However, the interviewer continued with his interview, saying, “You are perfect, and what I like more about it is that it catches the attention, so people can talk afterward.”
Gerard Pique responded in his native language, saying, “Just a bit, so people can see, of course. It’s a day to enjoy the evening; let people appreciate it for what it is.”
Pique’s embarrassing moment came after he split from his former heartthrob, Shakira. The Spanish international was left stunned after his ex, Shakira, accused him of cheating.
After he left Shakira, Gerard Pique received a lot of criticism from online users. Both Shakira and Gerard Pique confirmed their separation in June 2022 amid Pique’s rumors of alleged infidelity.
It was revealed by Spanish TV journalist José Antonio Avilés that the couple had been in an “open relationship” for three years before their breakup.
The TV journalist said, “There is an agreement where ‘you do what you want and I do what I want’. But in the eyes of the media, they were still a couple.”
The journalist also continued, saying, “The footballer’s entourage was surprised by Shakira’s statement.
“He has been annoyed to find out from the press”.
Another journalist named Pilar Vidal said, “Gerard Pique does not want speculation that the reason for the breakup was infidelity.
“He was surprised by the statement because the one who takes the initiative is her.”
However, recently, Shakira revealed her heartbreak after learning of Pique’s alleged cheating at a period her father was fighting for his life in the hospital.
Shakira was devastated because she couldn’t turn to her father for the advice she wanted at the time of the heartbreak.
She expressed her heartbreak of her partner of 11 years through the release of two different diss songs titled Sessions 53 and Vacia.
Gerard Pique has moved on, and he is currently dating a 24-year-old model, Clara Chia Marti.
