Gerard Deulofeu, a former Premier League player, has undergone surgery for the third time in his career, revealing bizarre scars on his knees.
Deulofeu used social media to share a snapshot of himself with his wife and kids as well as the unattractive scars that getting a surgical procedure left behind.
With two goals and six assists in 16 games this season, the winger was in superb form in Serie A.
This continued his excellent performance from the previous season, during which he scored 13 goals.
Deuolfeu advanced through the ranks at Barcelona before spending time with Everton and Watford in the Premier League.
In addition to earning four caps for Spain, he also spent time at Sevilla and AC Milan.
Deulofeu’s career has been marred by ailments, and he had his most recent knee issue in November.
The cheerful star commented on his most recent setback: “For me it is not a tragedy. It’s a new opportunity.”
“It’s the third time, unfortunately, that I’ve had surgery, but each time I’ve been able to see and feel how it has helped me to grow both personally and professionally.”

Who Is Gerard Deulofeu?
Spanish professional footballer Gerard Deulofeu Lázaro was born on March 13, 1994. He now plays for Serie A team Udinese.
He is primarily a forward but can also play on both flanks as a winger.
He began his professional career with Barcelona, making his debut for the first team at the age of 17, and later went on loan to Everton and Sevilla before making a permanent move to the former in the summer of 2015.
He was returned to Barcelona in June 2017 following a productive loan stint with the Italian team AC Milan. In January 2018, he was loaned to Watford, who ultimately acquired him permanently.
Deulofeu has played for Spain as a young national team, appearing over 80 times at the under-16, under-17, under-19, under-20, and under-21 levels. In 2012, he was awarded the UEFA Under-19 Championship Golden Player. He made his senior football team debut for Spain in 2014.

Deulofeu is a great athlete with speed, good technique, and dribbling skills. He can play as a forward or a winger on either flanks.

Considered to be a potential young player, Don Balón placed him in their list of the 101 most interesting prospects born after 1991 in 2012, while The Observer called him one of the ten most promising young players in Europe in January 2014.
