Serie A club Genoa have signed Arsenal youngster Brooke Norton-Cuffy from the London club on a permanent deal.
Brooke has reportedly agreed a five-year contract with the Italian outfit, which will run until the summer of 2029.
Further details of the transfer indicate that Arsenal will receive a €2 million fixed fee plus €2 million in add-ons for the 20-year-old right back.
Norton-Cuffy struggled for game time with Arsenal despite a promising youth career with the club’s development squads. He was loaned to Lincoln City, Rotherham United, Coventry City, and Millwall.
The English youth player will be the 8th signing for Genoa this season following the signing of Vitinha, Koni De Winter, Rusian Malinovskyi, Mortem Thorsby, Emil Bohinen, Pierluigi Gollini, and Alessandro Zanoli.
Following an impressive run with Arsenal youth teams, the former Chelsea youth player also attracted interests from other clubs. Ligue 1 outfit Rennes and Bundesliga side Hoffenheim were among clubs interested in the player.
Genoa beat the competition for the youngster with assurances of first-team action and a clear pathway to a full-blown senior football career.
Norton-Cuffy is the second top-rated Arsenal youngster to leave the club this summer. Recall the Gunners lost Chido Obi-Martins to Manchester United due to inability to break into the Gunners’ first team.
